Jeff Phelan was born and raised in Sacramento, California. Jeff began his real estate career in 1981 as a Construction Engineer for Bentley International Gold Mining Company in Liberia, West Africa. In 1988, he returned to Sacramento and began working for Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate where he was awarded Rookie of the Year. Jeff joined the Office Building Division at CB Commercial Real Estate Group in 1989 and received Top Producer awards for his last four consecutive years.

In 1994, he became a partner in Panattoni Development Company and moved to Orange County to launch Panattoni’s development operations in Southern California. He developed over 20,000,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail space, totaling over $1.5 billion with Panattoni Development. He was the Senior Operating Partner in the Panattoni organization and managed the largest regional office in the company.

In 2006, Jeff decided it was time to pursue a new venture and founded his own company, Phelan Development Company in Newport Beach. His growing office continues to seek out real-estate opportunities in the Western United States.

Jeff received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from California State University, Sacramento. He currently resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife and five children.
